Ra’ed Elmurib served as the executive vice president of corporate and business development at PMC-Sierra, leading the company’s non-organic growth and strategic partnerships. Ra’ed led the $2.5 billion sale of PMC-Sierra to MicroSemi in January, 2016. He also served as the vice president of worldwide sales at PMC-Sierra, managing a team of over 100 members and $300 million in revenue. Prior to PMC-Sierra, Ra’ed was CEO and Co-Founder of Unitec Sales, a manufacturer representative firm serving customers including STMicroelectronics, Microchip, and other component suppliers.

George Flammer served as the vice president of engineering and chief scientist at Silver Spring Networks, leading the team that created the Smart Grid architecture and products which have been adopted by the public utilities market worldwide.  George also served as CTO of Metricom in the early 90’s where he led the development of UtiliNet, the first viable Smart Grid solution that evolved into Ricochet, the world’s first large-scale wireless internet service with a market valuation of $10 billion. George holds numerous patents in wireless communications.

Elad Gottlib served as the head of RF and hardware design group at Silver Spring Networks where he led the architecture and design of five generations of radio platforms that shipped more than 20 million units worldwide. Elad started his career in the defense industry where he worked on airborne communications, RADAR, and electronic warfare before joining Motorola Communication. At Motorola, Elad worked on iDEN, trunked radio and cellular technologies. Elad holds numerous patents in wireless communications.

Wen Hsieh is a general partner at Kleiner Perkins (KPCB). He focuses on hardware-related investments – HardTech – such as enterprise IT infrastructure (data storage, networking, compute), AI, industrial/enterprise IoT, disruptive digital devices (wearables, mobile phones, consumer electronics), AR/VR, drones, robotics, autonomous vehicle tech, next-gen semiconductors, advanced manufacturing technologies, energy storage and sustainability opportunities. Wen has worked as board director/observer – and sometimes as a co-founder – with the entrepreneurs at AEye, Ambiq Micro, Amprius, Amyris (AMRS), Bloom Energy, Crossbar, Desktop Metal, DJI, General Radar, LuxVue Technology (acquired by Apple), mCube, Motiv, Pavilion Data Systems, Qumulo, relayr, Ripcord, Shoof Technologies, Spatial Photonics (acquired by Himax Display), Tidal Systems (acquired by Micron Technology) and Voltafield. Before joining Kleiner Perkins, Wen was an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company San Francisco and a leader of McKinsey’s Asia semiconductor practice. During his five years at McKinsey, Wen focused primarily on serving leading companies across the global semiconductor value chain. His secondary focus at McKinsey was on the North America biopharma sector. Earlier in his career, Wen founded OnChip Technologies, a startup developing MEMS microfluidic biochips. OnChip’s target market was high-sensitivity and high-throughput peptide separation and identification applications. Wen earned a B.S. with honors, an M.S., and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering, plus a Ph.D. minor in biology, all from the California Institute of Technology.

Thomas Riordan serves on the boards of a number of high technology companies. He has served on the board of Mellanox Technologies since May 2007. Tom was the executive vice president and chief operating officer of Mosys, Inc., a semiconductor company, from April 2011 to April 2017. Prior to joining Mosys, Tom was CEO of Exclara, Inc., a semiconductor company, from August 2006 until March 2011. Prior to Exclara, from January 2005 until July 2006, Tom was an entrepreneur-in-residence at Bessemer Venture Partners, an investment fund. From August 2000 to December 2004, Tom was the vice president of the microprocessor division of PMC-Sierra, Inc. (“PMC”), a semiconductor company. From August 1991 to August 2000, Tom was CEO, president and a member of the board of directors of Quantum Effect Devices, Inc., a semiconductor design company that Tom co-founded and was purchased by PMC. From February 1985 to June 1991, Tom served in various design and managerial roles, most recently as director of research and development at MIPS Computer Systems, Inc., a semiconductor design company. From March 1983 to January 1985, Tom was a design engineer at Weitek Corporation, a semiconductor company. From October 1979 to February 1983, Tom was a design engineer at Intel.  Tom served as a member of the board of directors of PLX Technology, Inc., a semiconductor and software company, from November 2004 until its acquisition by Avago Technologies Ltd. in August 2014. Tom also serves on the boards of directors of several private companies. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Florida Technological University and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from the University of Central Florida and has done post-graduate work in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University.

Fuyuki Yamaguchi is a managing partner at Abies Ventures, a deep technology focused venture capital firm, as well as a managing poartner at Visionnaire Ventures, He also served as the chief investment officer at Mistletoe, a venture community originated in Japan and with a mission to create a future that is more human-centered and sustainable through technology innovation. He has overseen an investment portfolio comprises of tens of startups and venture capital funds worldwide. Fuyuki was also a management consultant at Bain&Company and Roland Berger, serving various technology and manufacturing companies.
Fuyuki holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master’s degree in Physics from the University of Tokyo as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Wharton School, the University of Pennsylvania.
